William E. Bloch, MD
Central Ohio Urology Group
Dr. William Bloch is a physician at Central Ohio Urology Group specializing in treatments for benign prostatic hyperplasia, kidney stones, bladder cancer, vasectomy and general urology. Dr. Bloch is one of few physicians in the country and state of Ohio to provide non-invasive HIFU, an outpatient treatment that uses highly focused ultrasound energy to heat and destroy cancerous cells in localized prostate cancer.
Prior to joining Central Ohio Urology Group, Dr. Bloch was a member of Urology Surgeons, Inc., as well as active Chief of Urology at Riverside Memorial Hospital in Columbus. His professional experience includes years of practice with the Huntington Urological Association and Hoffman Urological Clinic, both in Huntington, West Virginia. He was also a Clinical Assistant Professor of the Departments of Surgery and Obstetrics and Gynecology at Marshall University.
Throughout his career, Dr. Bloch has conducted research, presented several abstracts, and published articles in books and industry journals such as Urology, Journal of Urology, Gynecologic Oncology and Journal of Andrology.
Dr. Bloch completed his undergraduate education at University of Miami and graduated from UHS/The Chicago Medical School. His internship, urological residency and surgical residency were at the University of Miami. He is a member of the American Urological Association, American Association of Clinical Urologists and American College of Surgeons.
